Hello! Thank you for taking the time to checkout my personal website. Here you will find information about myself, what is going on in my classroom, and how to contact me.
About Myself
I grew up on the west side of Sioux Falls on a small acreage. I have 3 brothers, one sister, and am the second youngest of my siblings.

My oldest brother, Josh, is a massage therapist in Florida. My middle brother, Dan, is a private contractor in Sioux Falls. My sister is an x-ray technician in Texas. My youngest brother, Jeremiah, is currently in college studying Ecology/Biology and playing football at St. Cloud State.

My mother is a health insurance agent in Sioux Falls and my Dad owns a taekwondo school in Tea.
​
After I graduated from the Tea Area School District I went to Black Hills State University to pursue a degree in education. I student taught in Spearfish, SD and then went to finish my student teaching in Costa Rica for two months. What a learning experience! I came back proficient in Spanish language and ready to begin my career in the Tea Area School District.

I spent my college years involved in taekwondo, putting on summer camps for children, and working at a psychiatric facility for youth with mental and emotional disabilities.
​
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I live for the moment when a child has their "light bulb" effect and understands something. I believe every child is good and I celebrate the differences between them. In my classroom, I believe that we are all learners and all teachers. My passion is building relationships with my students to help them be successful, respectful, and learn how to work together. I take pride in creating a supportive, family atmosphere.

Why I Chose Teaching
I am blessed with a huge family. My mother has 5 siblings and my father has 12 siblings.
